Following our earlier work on Shenzhen-Hong Kong exchange, LucaBridge stepped onto a wider stage on 11 June 2026. We were honoured to be invited by the Hong Kong Island Youth Federation to a forum on youth integration and development across the strait, Hong Kong and Macau, co-organised by the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification.
Our young core team arrived in uniform and on good form for a day that brought together young people from all four places.
The programme was substantial, built around four main themes.
Cross-strait integration in a new era, and the responsibility of young people: a serious discussion of how young people across the strait, Hong Kong and Macau should step up and take on the work of national renewal and peaceful development.
Fujian-Taiwan cooperation policy and project briefings: an up-to-date explanation of the policy support available, and introductions to projects opening routes for young people from both sides to work on the western side of the strait.
Greater Bay Area development and the practice of One Country, Two Systems in Hong Kong and Macau: a detailed exchange on how Hong Kong's particular position makes it a core engine for the Bay Area, and an unmatched springboard for young people heading north.
Chinese-style modernisation and youth innovation and entrepreneurship: a look at how young people can fit their own ambitions into the wider picture, particularly in technology and culture.
Our thanks to the Hong Kong Island Youth Federation for the invitation and their confidence in us; thank you for building a platform of this standing. Our sincere thanks too to the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification for co-organising and for pointing young people from all four places towards real opportunities.
And our warmest respect to every member of the LucaBridge family who represented Hong Kong's young people so well. 🔥🎒🌍⚡✨
