A promise is a promise. Following the registration drive at Tin Yuet Estate on New Year's Day, our volunteers returned in force on 7 January 2026 for the distribution itself.
The team arrived early in uniform and got straight into it โ moving supplies, counting packages, checking names against the New Year's Day registration list, organising the queue โ with the kind of coordination that comes from practice. Rows of well-filled packages of household essentials, food and seasonal items were laid out, ready to give the residents something solid to start the year with.
Word that LucaBridge had come back to deliver brought everyone who had registered out early, and the place filled up. Our volunteers handed each package over in person, and offered a belated new year greeting with it: "LucaBridge is back! Take a package, build yourself up, and here's to a healthy and happy year."
Watching the residents take their packages with those bright, reassured smiles, and hearing "we registered on New Year's Day and here you are โ thank you", took the chill out of the middle of January. Sweaty and sore as everyone was, the team left flying.
Our sincere thanks to the coordinating team at Tin Yuet Estate for their strong support and for hosting us so well, and our warmest respect to every LucaBridge volunteer who keeps turning this into practice rather than intention.
