The response to the first session was so strong that on 24 August 2025 LucaBridge and Zhiqiao Foreign Language Education put on a second Daruma painting workshop for parents and children.
It sold out again the moment it opened, and the room filled once more with families ready to get stuck in. Word of mouth from the first session meant the six participants arrived even keener. Brushes moved, colour flew, and the children cradled their round Daruma dolls while letting their imaginations run, painting on colours that stand for good fortune and for sticking at things.
Parents worked in step beside them, passing paints and designing patterns together, and the room filled with warm laughter and encouragement. One by one, creative and entirely individual Daruma dolls took shape. Watching the children hold up their work proudly for photos with their families, those smiles were the best verdict on the day we could have asked for.
