Early summer, and our environmental team was out again. On 27 May 2025 a group of volunteers took their equipment down to Siu Lam beach for a coastal waste clean-up.
The early-summer heat was fierce but enthusiasm held up. The beach was strewn with plastic bottles, disposable cutlery and marine litter of every kind, all washed up by the waves. Gloves on and bags in hand, the volunteers worked the length of the shoreline, clearing even the small pieces wedged into the rocks.
A morning of sweat and good teamwork removed 8 bags of waste and gave Siu Lam back its golden sand. The satisfaction on everyone's faces at the end outshone the sun. Our sincere thanks to every volunteer who stood in the heat and gave their time — it is only with you beside us that the sea stays healthy and beautiful. We are not stopping. ✨
