We said we would, and we did. The day after discussing the Greater Bay Area Future Pillars programme (BTC) at the Legislative Council, our volunteers were at Chiu Chow Association Secondary School on 12 May 2026 for a working meeting with Mr Cheung Wai-lok, chairman of the Hong Kong Music, Sports and Culture Alliance, to get everything ready for what comes next.
Our core team arrived in uniform and got straight down to it. With Mr Cheung leading, we walked the school and checked off every detail — the layout, how people would move through the site, the sound equipment and the full running order. There was a lively discussion about how to bring sport, youth exchange and community care together properly, and how to make sure every part of it is safe and runs smoothly.
In the middle of all that came a genuine piece of good news: LucaBridge has been formally invited to take part in the District Sports Festival. That invitation reflects years of steady work in this community. The Festival exists to take sport into every corner of Hong Kong and get people moving, and we intend to bring that spirit straight to the residents we work with.
A loud thank you to chairman Cheung Wai-lok of the Hong Kong Music, Sports and Culture Alliance for his leadership and for his confidence in us — thank you for connecting LucaBridge to a platform with this kind of reach.
