Mid-Autumn is about being together, and we wanted to get there first. On 27 September 2025, with the festival approaching, our volunteer team headed to Sing Gor Bing Sutt in Shui Pin Wai, Yuen Long, for a mooncake and care package distribution with the festival firmly in mind.
The place was busy well before we started, with elderly residents arriving in anticipation. Our volunteers turned out in uniform and on good form, ready for the day.
Splitting the work between them, they handed over 150 boxes of mooncakes — the symbol of reunion — along with care packages of everyday health items, one at a time. "Happy Mid-Autumn! Wishing you good health!" The greetings carried across the bing sutt all afternoon.
The residents took their mooncakes and packages beaming, holding on to the volunteers' hands with praise for everyone. Watching those faces, as round and contented as the moon itself, the festival mood in Shui Pin Wai Estate could not have been higher.
A loud thank you to everyone at Sing Gor Bing Sutt for hosting us so well — because of your support this festival warmth reached the people it was meant for — and our deepest respect to every LucaBridge volunteer who threw themselves into the day. We'll keep going.
