They look after the city; we wanted to look after them. On 2 December 2025 our volunteers ran an outreach built entirely around saying thank you.
The fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po left us in no doubt about what firefighters do on the front line. To say so properly, we put together a substantial supply of energy drinks and energy bars and took them to the fire station.
It was a privilege to hand those over to the officers on duty. Watching them take the supplies with genuine warmth after a hard shift, and thank LucaBridge for coming, was something. "You look after the elderly, the neighbourhoods, all of Hong Kong. Thank you — stay safe out there."
What we brought was not really drinks and snacks; it was a whole community's backing, handed over in person. Being able to top up the tank for these people, even a little, left every volunteer proud of the day.
Our sincere thanks to the officers on duty for receiving us, and our warmest respect to every firefighter who protects the lives and homes of this city around the clock. It is because you run towards it that the rest of us get to live quietly.
